DTL Showcases Cutting-Edge Rail Safety and Cybersecurity Solutions in Peru and Chile

Digital Transit Ltd (DTL) has returned from a successful trade mission to Peru and Chile, where our CEO Howard Parkinson presented our flagship technologies CyRail® and RAPORS to senior stakeholders across Latin America’s most ambitious rail modernisation programmes.

Organised by the UK Department for Business and Trade (DBT) from 30 June to 4 July 2025, the rail-focused mission served as a high-value platform for DTL to demonstrate our AI-driven tools and contribute to shaping safer, smarter, and more compliant rail systems in the region.

Driving the Conversation: DTL at the Centre of the Dialogue

DTL was front and centre during the mission’s discussions, and our CEO took the opportunity to lead several high-level conversations on digital assurance and safety in rail.

Howard Parkinson presented CyRail®, our cybersecurity assurance platform for Operational Technology (OT), and RAPORS, our AI-powered system that automates safety-critical software assessment and compliance checks, both addressing Latin America’s growing need for reliable, standards-compliant rail infrastructure.

Strategic Fit: Why Our Tools Matter Now

Both CyRail® and RAPORS respond to urgent market needs in Peru and Chile:

CyRail® offers automated assurance aligned with TS 50701 and IEC 63452, supporting operational resilience and regulatory compliance across metro, freight, and passenger rail.
RAPORS supports the assessment and development of SIL-rated software systems, enhancing traceability and reducing safety case production time by up to 40%.

These capabilities are currently being explored in pilot studies in Singapore, Hong Kong, and the UK, demonstrating DTL’s commitment to supporting complex, high-growth infrastructure markets worldwide.

Looking Ahead

DTL is aiming to return to the region in October 2025 for a follow-up engagement focused on critical infrastructure cybersecurity, joining other UK innovators in energy, water, and digital systems. We’re also continuing discussions with partners in procurement, engineering, and operations.
